Greetings Everyone,
We have now added the option of select the choice of your Barrell to USB C converter and the converter adapter for the GIGA.
Yesterday, 1000 pieces of shells were produced for the GIGA trial production. It require a lot of steps to debug this process to perfection and I want you to know that we are pushing it to make sure we have them ready to send out to you as soon as possible.
All of the shells came out with some defects and you can see these strange marks on the images below. Now have to rework and remake them. All these are the 130W shells.
We want to make sure these are corrected as we dont want to send out anything defective.
However, we will get the 400 pieces first batch enclosed today. I will bring you more news shortly.
The main important thing is that all the PCBA and chips are completely ready and same with our certifications. If you check some other brands that crowdfunded 200W GaN charger (both on Kickstarter and Indiegogo), they are still having a lot of issues with their certifications and PCBA. They have experienced a lot of problems with their 200W GaN and they were only able to send out 100W GaN chargers to their backers. Keeping in mind they have been on this for the past 1 year.
We are way ahead of everyone else in the industry with our GaN technology and I can assure you that you will love your GIGA.
As for those expecting their credit in Backerkit, you will all get them soon.
I have also seen comments about higher prices for the add-ons in the Backerkit. Well the add-ons were cheaper during the campaign and they are expected to go up when the campaign ends. This is normal and it will be the same for any other products that we are releasing in the future. You need to take the advantage of any offer that are presently available.

GIGA:
Greetings everyone,
Again we thank you for your support.
First GaN Production Set:
The production of the GaN is progressing excellent and we are still on the schedule to have the 400 pcs (130W x 200pcs + 200W x 200pcs) of the GaN chargers sent to us by the end of this week.
Please keep in mind that the GaN mold needs to be debugged to perfection, so we need some of the chargers for trial production and to check the scrap rate of the shell (that degree of shell loss). We are also making the blisters to protect the chargers in transit.
Fulfilment Centres:
We're likely to send all these from Australia and maybe some from the UK. But we have now reached an agreement with a 3PL that have hubs setup in the US, UK, Netherlands (EU), Canada and Singapore. This way we can get products shipped to you faster without delays. We are excited about this major progress. We appreciate your support and love.
Backerkit and Extra funds:
Regarding the backerkit, I have seen your comments and messages. I have contacted the backerkit rep and I will get all these issues (all your extra payments will be credited to your backerkit account) sorted for you. You have nothing to worry about. I have been a little busy with 3PL onboarding, New UK office setup, products testing and all.
WHY?
The VOLTA Charger Power Bank was a long time coming. It's high time we release the Power Bank (long over due).
You are probably wondering why VOLTA is releasing multiple products from time to time. Well, personally I have always wanted to make our products cheaper for our customers to purchase and one of the ways to do that is to offer multiple functional products that works together as a bundle. This approach will help us sell our products to you cheaper and help increase our Average Order Value (AOV). As advertisement costs have skyrocketed since the COVID event.
One of the major reasons why this GIGA campaign was a success was because of those super awesome people that signed up for the GIGA pre-launch and 'Reserve a Spot'. I have a lot of special goodies for these people. Thank you so much for helping us get this far, we were at a very bad spot financially as a result of the Covid and lots some staffs. Hello Everyone,
Good news, we have the first batch of the GIGA. 200 pieces of the GIGA will be sent one of our fulfilment centre next week and these would sent out to some of our Backers as soon as they land.
Regarding Backerkit, We've also sent a smoke test (sent surveys to 5% of the backers) on Monday to be sure everything good. Some of our Backers would have received theirs. The rest of the survey will be sent out later tomorrow once no one comes back with error.
Please, be sure to complete the Backerkit survey as soon as you receive it.

Greetings everyone,
Adedayo here and I would like to use this opportunity to thank you for your support. We sincerely appreciate you for your patience and for backing us.
We finally received the funds from Indiegogo payment team on Tuesday (28/12/2021) and we were able to transfer all the necessary funds to our manufacturing partners. What a relief that was to us. They should all receive the funds by Monday (06/12/2021) and production will restart with immediate effect.
Secondly, kindly ignore the last update that was sent by one of our team members regarding the refund of the USB C to Barrel adapters. There was a minor confusion as the Barrel perks would not sync with the Backerkit. Backerkit rep was able to resolve this.
In addition, you would like to have received the Backerkit survey, but the Backerkit guys need to approve the survey before it is sent out.

Thank you for helping us come this far. Things are quite progressing in the UK and making some head ways with the distribution centre in the EU. We are in talks with a 3PL as this will be an ideal solution for now.
Please, look forward to receiving the Backerkit survey this week. Apologies for the delay, we had to wait for the Backerkit team to approve it before it can be sent out. They also had to charge us upfront and their service charge is based on a certain percentage of the funds from the campaign. So they also had to wait until the funds got to us. We are not trying to come up with excuses but this is how crowdfunding works. The delay with the funds has disrupted our schedule and timeline.
