Imagine the frustration when the certification fees were paid in advance and queuing up for the PCBA chip so that we can meet the promised delivery date.

As you can see from below the second try also failed and I only found out today. As I have been checking the account from time to time. Only God knows how many times I check the account each hour of the day. 

I am short of words. Just so you know, this is not an excuse because someone commented that it was excuse that we created to delay the delivery. I will definitely be very direct and let you know if this was so, we were pretty much on track. The only think I can now say is to implore you to kindly be patient with me. 

Our head of customer service (Bryan) is now back and the Backerkit will be sent later today or tomorrow. So that we can get that sorted ASAP.

Hello everyone, 

We have been receiving messages from Backers asking about the Backerkit. 
The Backerkit is ready to be sent, but one of our key customer service member is sick and we are getting an addional person ready to fill his spot temporarily before the Backerkit survey is sent out.

Kindly bear in mind that we are yet to receive the funds from the Indiegogo. I need to contact them Asap, it seems there is a problem and I just found out about it like a minute ago. See the screenshot below: 



Kindly bear with us as we resolve this. As we need to this money to the manufacturer ASAP. 
I will get this sorted with the Indiegogo team as soon as possible.

Good day everyone,

This is to inform you that we are progressing with the Giga and Anchor. 
Below are some photos of the progress. The shells been made with the Ultrasonic mould.

Quality assurance and testing of some of the recently produced GIGA. 


We have green-lights for the 200W certifications after we made the temperature adjustment (see previous updates). 
200W: CB, KC, KCC (Issued) 
130W: ETL, CB, KC, KCC (Certifications coming out this week). 
All the chargers must be thoroughly tested and we cannot ship any of them until we get all the 

There are still some certifications that will be completed with immediate effect, as soon as we round up some minor debugging for the chargers. I am truly pleased with all these progress and very confident you will enjoy your Giga GaN chargers. 

Unfortunately there has been some delays with the production. The factory we are working with suspended all production related activities and asked us to pay some of the pending invoices for the production. There is nothing to worry about as this delay is nothing technical related, we just need to wait and then pay up what we are owing once we receive the funds from Indiegogo. 



The funds was only sent to us by Indiegogo on the 12th of November (Friday) and it should get to our account later this week (hopefully). 
I couldn't complain because this particular factory has been extremely supportive by helping us get early access to the GaN Chips (PCBA), their boss went above and beyond to help us with the certification process, she even used her personal money to help us out. Despite the chip shortage in the market, we were able to get lots of the chips on time. 

Things are also progressing with the UK fulfilment hub, it has been a hassle getting a place since I am new in the UK. I had to go through a lot of huddles to get a place and registering the company. Again, we are still on track and the fulfilment hub will be in Manchester. It will be up and running before the end of this month (November 2021). 

I will continue to share more updates with you as things progresses. We really appreciate your support and the love. Remember that we are here to satisfy you at all times and by all means. Great news... Apologies for my frequent updates. I just want to make sure you are fully aware of all that is happening with the production. 

The new ultrasonic mold is completed and tested today (the testing will last for a week to be sure there are no issues). 
The PCBA chip has no issues (yay). Below are some of the chip photos. 

Also, you will start receiving the BackerKit Survey between 10 to 13 days from when the campaign ended. This is just how the Backetkit system works.

You are probably wondering why VOLTA is releasing a lot of products back to back. Well, personally I have always wanted to make our products cheaper to buy and one of the way to do that is to offer multiple functional products that works together as bundle. This approach will help us sell our products to you at a cheaper price and which will in turn increase the return on our ad spend. As advertisement now costs a whole lot since Covid-19.

Hand Bang Mag Cable: 

Since I arriving into the UK. I realised that my phone battery drains faster (this could be a myth) and my phone almost went off a couple of times. I would have been stranded if my phone had died (as I needed my Google map to get me back home safely).
I guess this might have been a result of using the phone more than I usually do (using Google maps for direction).

Now I realise the importance of carrying a power bank around or at least having a minimal but functional multipurpose charging cable with me at all time. There are some digital advertisements stands in the city centre that has USB outlets to charge phone. But no charging cables were provided. It is a bring your own cable (BYOC) free service (lol).

Back in 2018, I wanted to design and make a wrist band fashionable magnetic charging cable. That can be worn on the wrist and be of an everyday carry (EDC).

I have started working on the the cable and it will be available by January, 2022 (if not sooner).

Finally, I will make another update later today or tomorrow about the PD car charger. We have made some major improvements on the car charger. The wattage has been increased from 96W to 100W. It will now come with 1 USB C port + 1 USB A port.

We are now on the final hours of the GIGA prestigious Campaign. We are truly humble by your support and backing. 

Some news from the factory:
- The Ultrasonic molds for the chargers are almost ready. The Ultrasonic molds are what would be used assemble each of the GaN chargers. 
- Pcba are also being prepared. 
- Certfications are now in the final stage (this is a huge progress). Since we had to make sure that the 200W meet the new 71ºC temperature policy. 
- Anchor Wiressless stands are also in production (they will be out sooner that excepted)
- The setup of the UK fulfilment hub is progressing greatly. 
- The 33W GaN Charger is also has the AU prongs Option...



Some of our backers have asked us to make the VOLTA 2.0 (90º version) and extra connector tips available as add-on. 

These products are now available at the checkout as add-ons, as requested.
