Happy New Year everyone,
Straight to the point:
400+ 130W and 200W GIGA GaN chargers were finally sent to our fulfilment centres. Shipment is definitely starting this January as promised. We apologise for all the delays. These first batches would be shipped out to the VOLTA VIP - that is - those that 'Reserved a Spot'. They are the first on the shipment list.
Despite all the delays we've had with fulfilment, none of the delays have to do with any technical aspect of the product. The delays were due to the issue we had with receiving funds from Indiegogo. which altered the production timeline significantly. This of course is not an excuse, I am only trying to let you know that you have nothing to worry about with regards to GIGA functionality. So, I would also like to use this opportunity to reassure you that you will love these products, as they were made without any significant technical issues and we got our certification seamlessly. This is because we understand the GaN technology more than any other brand and we worked with the best of the manufacturers. Even other brands that crowdfunded 200W are yet to finalise their GaN chargers. despite the fact that their campaign started about two years ago.
VOLTA is not just a Tech Company, we are all about service to our customers and making their lives easier with functional technologies. So we appreciate you for your support and helping us realise these products.

Quick update everyone,
We have made a lot of progress since the last update was posted. I could have sent an update much earlier, but I wanted to make sure I have something important to share.
A lot of people have been asking the ETA and I couldn't share any ETA since I was not 100% sure. Shipment is starting next month (January 2022), this is definite and certain.
We now have the final VOLTA Anchor and below is what is looks like. It came out really good and I am sure you will love it as much as we do.
GIGA:
As for the GIGA GaN chargers. Photos below is to show today's progress, the production has been in small batches.
We have finally produced and coupled 200 pcs (100 pcs of 200W + 100 pcs of 130W). We had to make a smaller batch this time, as the loss would be big if we had encountered the previous problem with the casing again.
We will continue to make these batches of 200 pieces and have then sent out gradually.
After correcting the minor problems with the casing. We are happy to have these shipped to our fulfilment hubs for distribution to our early backers (those that Saved a Spot).
It is extremely important for me to get the product shipped to those that Saved A Spot, as they are part of the VOLTA VIPs.
This is why you should not miss out on getting one of our 'Save a Spot' slots for our upcoming projects.

Greetings Everyone,
We have now added the option of select the choice of your Barrell to USB C converter and the converter adapter for the GIGA.
Yesterday, 1000 pieces of shells were produced for the GIGA trial production. It require a lot of steps to debug this process to perfection and I want you to know that we are pushing it to make sure we have them ready to send out to you as soon as possible.
All of the shells came out with some defects and you can see these strange marks on the images below. Now have to rework and remake them. All these are the 130W shells.
We want to make sure these are corrected as we dont want to send out anything defective.
However, we will get the 400 pieces first batch enclosed today. I will bring you more news shortly.
The main important thing is that all the PCBA and chips are completely ready and same with our certifications. If you check some other brands that crowdfunded 200W GaN charger (both on Kickstarter and Indiegogo), they are still having a lot of issues with their certifications and PCBA. They have experienced a lot of problems with their 200W GaN and they were only able to send out 100W GaN chargers to their backers. Keeping in mind they have been on this for the past 1 year. We are way ahead of everyone else in the industry with our GaN technology and I can assure you that you will love your GIGA.
As for those expecting their credit in Backerkit, you will all get them soon.
I have also seen comments about higher prices for the add-ons in the Backerkit. Well the add-ons were cheaper during the campaign and they are expected to go up when the campaign ends. This is normal and it will be the same for any other products that we are releasing in the future. You need to take the advantage of any offer that are presently available.

Greetings everyone,
Again we thank you for your support.
First GaN Production Set: The production of the GaN is progressing excellent and we are still on the schedule to have the 400 pcs (130W x 200pcs + 200W x 200pcs) of the GaN chargers sent to us by the end of this week. Please keep in mind that the GaN mold needs to be debugged to perfection, so we need some of the chargers for trial production and to check the scrap rate of the shell (that degree of shell loss). We are also making the blisters to protect the chargers in transit.
Fulfilment Centres: We're likely to send all these from Australia and maybe some from the UK. But we have now reached an agreement with a 3PL that have hubs setup in the US, UK, Netherlands (EU), Canada and Singapore. This way we can get products shipped to you faster without delays. We are excited about this major progress. We appreciate your support and love.
Backerkit and Extra funds: Regarding the backerkit, I have seen your comments and messages. I have contacted the backerkit rep and I will get all these issues (all your extra payments will be credited to your backerkit account) sorted for you. You have nothing to worry about. I have been a little busy with 3PL onboarding, New UK office setup, products testing and all.
WHY? The VOLTA Charger Power Bank was a long time coming. It's high time we release the Power Bank (long over due). You are probably wondering why VOLTA is releasing multiple products from time to time. Well, personally I have always wanted to make our products cheaper for our customers to purchase and one of the ways to do that is to offer multiple functional products that works together as a bundle. This approach will help us sell our products to you cheaper and help increase our Average Order Value (AOV). As advertisement costs have skyrocketed since the COVID event. One of the major reasons why this GIGA campaign was a success was because of those super awesome people that signed up for the GIGA pre-launch and 'Reserve a Spot'. I have a lot of special goodies for these people. Thank you so much for helping us get this far, we were at a very bad spot financially as a result of the Covid and lots some staffs. You have no idea how many lives and families you have saved by supporting us.
I also understand where some of your are coming from, wondering why we are sharing info about new products when we are yet to fulfil the GIGA. Kindly keep in mind that we are only using the spare time we have to work on other products while waiting for the GIGA to be produced.
